Josie Lynn is currently the Choir Director and General Music teacher at Faribault Middle School. She grew up just outside of Richmond, Virginia where her musical family fostered her love for music and performance. Josie is a recent graduate of St. Olaf College class of 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education. In her time at St. Olaf, Josie participated in the Manitou Singers, Chamber Singers, and the St. Olaf Choir. She served as the student manager for the Manitou Singers and the Alto Section leader for the latter two ensembles.
Josie enjoys helping students find their own voice through collaborative music-making. Through movement, cultural engagement, and a little bit of silliness, she believes that students can become the most full version of themselves. Josie believes that music is for ALL people and the music we sing can reflect this vision. Josie is so excited to bring energy, optimism, and creativity to Northfield Youth Choirs!
